Special Project One Pavée

The SP One Pavée takes MB&F’s smallest, slimmest architecture into more precious territory without disturbing its mechanical clarity. Its bezel-free 38 mm case is formed in 18K white gold, then set across the case, rhodium-plated amphitheatre flange, crown and buckle with 255 diamonds totalling 1.608 carats. The setting follows the watch’s curves rather than competing with them, while a dark blue PVD dial sharpens the contrast.

The in-house, manually wound movement arranges its barrel, balance wheel and inclined time display as three equal circles, suspended beneath sapphire crystals. Conical gearing drives the tilted dial at 6 o’clock; the balance oscillates at 2.5 Hz, and the single barrel delivers 72 hours of power reserve. With 189 components, 31 jewels and rhodium-finished bridges, the construction conceals much of its supporting mechanics to preserve the levitating effect. Hand-finished bevels, polished angles and engraved details reward a closer view from either side.
