When launching the new Epic X collection in 2016, Jacob & Co. ventured into a new direction, with new shapes, new material and a new frame of mind. The inspiration of the design came from the letter X which symbolizes something unknown, mysterious and appealing which was the energy of the brand at the time.

Epic X Ceramic is a fusion of two generations of Epic X. From Epic X Skeleton, it retains the intensely openworked bridges, Jacob & Co.'s modern interpretation of a watchmaking classic. From Epic X Bridges, it retains the sleek, smooth case and bracelet, with its rows of five rectangular links.

Ceramic provides Epic X Ceramic with unique light and very special properties. It's completely hypoallergenic. It will feel comfortable on everyone's wrist, no matter the weather. It's also extremely hard to scratch. Epic X Ceramic will retain its polished appearance for several years.
