Earth 45 Lime Juice

Lime Juice is the bright one: a sharp green front for a room that can take it. When the clock is on, letters across the acrylic light up to write out the time, and four corner dots fill in the minutes.

The green is printed onto polished acrylic glass in several screen-printed layers, which keeps it vivid and gives the surface a gloss that reflects the room. Magnets hold the front on, so if the green ever needs a rest, another colour or language can take its place; an Arabic front swaps only for Arabic.

Behind it is the EARTH 45, 450 mm square and 22 mm deep, about 4.8 kg on the wall. It runs on USB power, keeps time to ±8 seconds a month and dims or brightens with the room.
