Description

Louis Erard’s chronographs used to be called La Sportive. Now they are the 2300, after the postcode of La Chaux-de-Fonds, the town where the brand was born. This is the blue one of the three.

The dial is matt blue with a paler blue minute track. A blue counter sits at 9 o’clock, matt silver ones at 12 and 6 o’clock, and the chronograph hands are matt yellow, so a running time is easy to pick out. Blue Super-LumiNova covers the markers and the hour and minute hands, with day and date at 3 o’clock.

The automatic ETA Valjoux 7750 runs for about 48 hours and shows through the caseback. The 44 mm case is Grade 5 titanium with a black ceramic bezel insert under a glassbox sapphire crystal, water resistant to 50 m.
