Description

The U3-AEB is the dark one of UNIMATIC's Impronte chronographs. The collection works in texture rather than print: the seconds rail and trims are debossed into the matte black dial, and the one bright patch is the matte white subdial.

The 40 mm case is brushed 316 steel, 41.5 mm across a 120-click bezel with raised numerals on a matte black insert. Even the caseback has a wrinkled finish. Water resistant to 300 m, each piece tested.

The Seiko VK64 meca-quartz gives quartz accuracy, a chronograph that pushes and resets like a mechanical one, and about 3 years per battery. Limited to 250 pieces, each numbered.

It comes on a black seatbelt NATO strap, with an olive drab one in the box.
