Description

Absinthe is named for its colour. The dial runs from off-black to emerald, and the vertical brushing keeps the green moving as the wrist turns.

The M690 is the calibre Massena LAB designed with Raúl Pagès, reworked to put the small seconds at 9 o'clock. Pagès oversees its production by a small group of Swiss watchmakers; his signature, a tiny tortoise ringed with perlage, sits under the balance.

It is wound by hand and holds 60 hours. Côtes de Genève and hand-chamfered bridges show through the sapphire caseback. The 316L steel case, 38.5 mm by 10 mm, follows watches of the 1940s and 50s.

Limited to 99 pieces, on a midnight blue Saffiano leather strap. Of the two absinthes, this one is safe to have every day.
