Description

Bleu Nuit is the calm one of the three colours Louis Erard launched together, beside purple and ice blue. The dial is matt midnight blue, with no sunray and no shine: the blue of a good navy suit.

The interest is in the finishes. A circular satin-finished zone runs round the dial, and the small seconds at 6 o’clock are snailed and framed by a diamond-cut zone. Glossy silver indexes, white transfers and rhodium-plated fir tree hands sit on top.

The reworked Excellence case is 39 mm of polished steel, 12.82 mm thick, with a domed sapphire crystal and the fir tree crown. Through the back runs the automatic Sellita SW261-1, about 38 hours. Water resistant to 50 m. On midnight blue grained calf, lined in blue.
