2340 Mauve
Description
Mauve is the softer of the two dials Louis Erard added to the 2340 later on: a light purple lacquer stamped with rows of small oblong pills, rounded where the Forest is linear.
Around it sit a white snailed minute ring, rhodium-plated diamond-cut indexes with blue-emission SLN-C1, and a satin-finished plate at 3 o’clock engraved “LE”. The hands are satin on top, diamond-cut at the edges.
Underneath the colour it is the 2340 as first made, named after the Le Noirmont postcode and, in the brand’s words, its first integrated-bracelet watch. A 40 mm case of satin-finished titanium and polished steel, 8.95 mm thick, the automatic Sellita SW300-1 with about 56 hours of reserve, and water resistance to 50 m.
The bracelet tapers from 28 to 20 mm to a butterfly clasp.
