Automatic watch codenamed “Item 80” for pilots of Tupolev aircraft.
The Raketa Watch Factory has designed and manufactured new mechanical watches exclusively for Tupolev aircraft pilots. This edition is limited to 200 watches and codenamed Raketa “Tu Item 80”, with the first 50 watches to be worn by Tupolev pilots.

The watch successfully passed extreme tests and withstood the severest loads during flights on Russian “Tu” aircraft. The 24-hour dial of the watch helps to know the correct time while flying for about 15 hours at stratospheric altitudes where the Earth’s curvature makes it difficult to tell day from night. The key features of the dial have luminous paint, which ensures luminosity in the dark, and are protected by an ultra-strong sapphire glass. The watch can resist pressures of up to 20 ATMs.

The “Raketa – Avtomat” automatic movement is one of the most reliable mechanisms in the world, which is produced by the Raketa Watch Factory in Saint Petersburg.
